“Kerrion had left early on some urgent business, and she had been forced to eat alone, since Kerra had not joined her. Summoning a hovering maiden with a flick of her fingers, Minna sent the girl to fetch Kerra.A few minutes later, the maiden returned, looking flustered. Kerra was not in her rooms, and the maid could not find her. Thinking it odd that Kerra should stay abed until breakfast, since she was usually an early riser, Minna went to Blade's rooms in search of her.
