“She had her cell phone clutched in her hand while pacing and pretending to scroll through an email. She had already answered the bogus call from Earl and freaked out in front of Marie.
“What’s wrong,” Nate asks as he stops in front of Pam and pulls her into his arms.
“I had a huge contract in Aspen. They wanted a specific coloring for the model; Asia is my only grey-eyed model with dark hair. She just called my assistant to let her know that she is in the hospital with food poisoning. S...he needed to be on site by eight o’clock this evening,” Pam whines, really giving it her all.
Marie steps forward wringing her hands. “I told her I would do it for her, but you guys haven’t cleared me for travel,” Marie says while looking between Jas and Nate with concern in her eyes.
Jasper smiles internally. Of course Marie had offered to do it. Her big heart was one of the things he loved about her.MoreLess
